Review Topic: Adjustment of Status

Our appointment was scheduled for 8am, we showed up at 7.50am, waited in the security line to get into the building. Very straightforward like being at the airport (take off shoes, belts, coats electronics etc). once into the building, we were directed to the 6th floor, within 2 minutes of sitting in the waiting area we were called to the interview.

We walked into a small office where the case officer swore us in ("tell the truth the whole truth so help you god"). Then, he took my picture/fingerprints for his files. Next, he asked us to present out wedding photos and any other documents that could support our marriage legitimacy (joint bills, life insurance, mortgage agreement/renters agreement). We presented this info and then he asked my wife a bunch of questions about meand our relationship, nothing too personal eg; my birth date, our address, what we did for new years eve 2018, the last trip we took together. He then threw my wife a curveball by asking he... read complete review

Went for the interview with my wife, everything went well. We got separated and asked questions by the immigration officer who approved us on the spot that day.

Review Topic: Adjustment of Status

Our appointment time was 12.30pm, we arrived almost an hour before that time at the federal building, there was nobody in line for security. We were called about 1.15pm, about 45 min after our appointment time. We parked at Aiso street, as others had suggested.

The officer was very pleasant. He swore us in, asked for our ID's and took my fingerprints and photo. He then asked me my full name, DOB and mailing address, and my husband's full name and DOB and went over my entries while on AP. I'd accidentally put my husband's DOB on the form in dd/mm/yyyy style, he corrected that. He also had me confirm the answers from the yes/no questions on the I-485.

He asked my husband his full name, DOB and mailing address and if he'd ever been arrested. My husband was arrested for a misdemeanour once more than two decades ago. They talked about that a little bit.

He checked all the original papers we'd brought against the copies we'd submitted (birth cert... read complete review

AOS for K1. Had it on 6th Floor for LA County in Downtown LA. Security took 20 minutes to get through. You can bring your kindle/cell phone. Waited over 2 hours to be called. Strange was they called us up to a window and asked for our ID (Drivers license and passports). Officer said we would be called soon. 20 minutes later we were called. Didn’t see them do this with anyone else.

The officer had no expression. Swore us in and took fingerprints. Our case file was huge. Asked the following questions:

1) Went through I-485. Asked questions about address, Bday, and money laundering, murder, etc. Checked off each yes/no answer.
2) When did you meet?
3) How long have you been together?
4) Where did you get married?
5) Did you have reception?
6) Where did you get engaged?
7) When was your wedding?
8) Whose idea was it to get married?
9) What is your husbands occupation?
10) Asked for... read complete review
